A busy summer

Now that the fields are being cleared, after the fragmented course of the harvest, my local hares have become a little, less reliable in turning up for a photo session.
I can't really complain as it been a very busy summer with hares behaving very differently to past encounters I have been fortunate enough to witness.
Due to the dry, dusty conditions a morning roll and scratch has become quite the activity. I have watched hares roll around, kick up the dust and enjoy a really good back rub. Followed by having a really good grooming session and some impressive yoga stretches before setting off on their way once more.
