A pheasant time of the morning

It's the time of year when an alarm clock isn't required as the dawn chorus bursts into full volume outside the bedroom windows at the first light of day.

A little less melodic are the local male pheasants are making their presence known with their croaky, loud call. Even if their noise is a little less soothing I still consider myself to be very fortunate living in the Norfolk countryside.
